- Practices: Monday – Thursdays at the YMCA
- Notes:
No Soccer May 19th – 25th
- Play-4-Free (Simplified):
- Part 1: Raffle Tickets
- Families receive raffle tickets based on their registration fee
- Tickets are $10 each and can be sold to help cover costs
- Raffle tickets are based on regular registration pricing, even if a family registers late (Late registration includes a late fee, not additional raffle tickets)
- Examples:
$100 prospective registration = 10 raffle tickets
$70 member registration = 7 raffle tickets
- ** Tickets will be handed out at their first game! **
- Part 2: MLS GO PLAY Fund
- Families may apply for additional financial support through MLS GO
- This is a separate scholarship-style opportunity
- Additional Details:
- Partners for this league are Chicagoland United (Jose Smith is their Director) & MLS GO
- Age Groups are by age so U6 for example stands for Under 6 years old and so on
- The Festival will be at Dynamo Soccer Fields and will include an in of season tournament for the older groups and just a celebration for all age groups with bounce houses, food trucks and fun activities. I have to find out more about this as we go as it may be an extra price and depend on the interest we get from our players to participate or not
- Perks of Registering through the YMCA & our PLay-4-Free Initiative
- Every participant will receive a full MLS uniform kit which will match their team name (Chicago Fire for example), which will include a Reversible Jersey , Short & Socks
- Every participant will also receive a ticket to a MLS Soccer Game (Chicago Fire Game)
- Every participant will also receive raffle tickets equal to the price they pay. Tickets are $10 a piece. So if a non member (Prospective member) signs up during regular price registration and pays a $100 they would get 10 tickets to sell to cover the price of their registration fee. This is part one of our Play-4-Free Initiative partnered with Chicagoland United! If they pay during Late Registration they would still only receive the 10 tickets, the extra $20 would essential be a late fee. Now if it was a member they would receive 7 tickets (see registration pricing above for clarification). The second part of the Play-4-Free Initiative is where MLS GO comes into play again, as participants/ families can apply through the MLS GO PLAY Fund to receive scholarship like compensation to help with costs!
- Practices will be here at the YMCA and games will be played at the Dynamo Soccer Fields in Bourbonnais against Chicagoland United Rec teams, as well as other smaller rec leagues around the area which are also collaborating with them such as Wilmington and others!
